Welcome to This Week on Trading Paints, the pulse on what’s happening in the Trading Paints world while you’re making laps in Carson Hocevar’s off-road truck.

🧑‍🎨 ICYMI: Noah Sweet in the Spotlight

April’s Artist Spotlight focuses on Noah Sweet, who’s accomplished quite a bit in the world of motorsports design after getting his start in sim racing. You’ve probably seen some of his animation work or paint-scheme design if you’ve followed NASCAR in the past five years.

🏎️ Staff Picks

Here’s a small sampling of paints the Trading Paints team is enjoying this week.

TCR Audi RS3 TGA Bazooka by Clyde Coman - Trading Paints
Bazooka Bubble Gum on the TCR Audi RS3 Gen2
Sunset - Ford Mustang GT3 by Ignas V. - Trading Paints
Ford Mustang GT3 livery inspired by the upcoming Sebring 12 Hours and that gorgeous sunset blinding into Turn 17, better known as ’Sunset Bend.
TAKATA Dome NSX - Super GT 2006 by Aaron Gomez3 - Trading Paints
Rookie Racing GR86 by Alex Schmurtz - Trading Paints
Inspired by the GR86 that used biomass-derived synthetic fuel in the 2022 Super Taikyu to explore new options to achieve carbon neutrality.
2003 Martin Truex Jr #8 C2M/Richie Evans Tribute (Charlotte2) by Jeffrey Stanton - Trading Paints
This is a recreation of the #8 Richie Evans Tribute Chevrolet Monte Carlo raced by Martin Truex Jr. in the 2003 NASCAR Busch Grand National Series / Little Trees 300 at Charlotte for Chance 2 Motorsports. Some creative liberties were taken so the design would fit the RCR/Harvick speedway body. Special thanks to Harris Lue + friends and Chad Mikosz for references/resources.
Makita McLaren 720s GT3 EVO by Jacob Freeman - Trading Paints
Goodyear 963 by Joey Richter - Trading Paints
The Porsche 963 was spotted in Paul Ricard running this livery during a Goodyear tire test, and I wanted to bring it to iRacing! The blue may not be exactly correct, and I may update in the future to bring it more inline with IRL. Here’s to hoping this livery is used as the throwback livery during Laguna!
