This Week on Trading Paints: December 12, 2025

Welcome to This Week on Trading Paints, the pulse on what’s happening in the Trading Paints world while you’re doing that Week 13 thing.

🗳️Paint of the Year voting is here!

After 48 weeks of fun Paint of the Week picks from Patrick, our Community Manager, it’s time for the annual December tradition that is Paint of the Year — our six-round head-to-head bracket where the 48 Paint of the Week picks compete for the most coveted title in sim racing (well, according to us, at least).

Round 2 voting (that’s 16 picks!) is open until Monday at noon ET to all logged-in Trading Paints members. Follow along on Instagram for more.

🧑‍🎨 ICYMI: Shawn Magee in the Spotlight

In our latest Artist Spotlight, we heard from Shawn Magee from SMD Racing. In addition to a wide range of paint scheme art in the NASCAR world, Shawn’s also done work designing race-win trophies, a unique feather in his cap.

🎁 Product Update: Number Layers

This week, we released small updates to Paint Builder and Number Builder, mostly around our new Number Layers feature.

With Number Layers in Number Builder, you can now export your customized number as a layer that’s fully positioned in all the right places on your painting template — one click over to Paint Builder, or as a PNG download for other software.

It’s a fun new feature and we’re excited about it! Try it out by visiting any number page in the Number Builder Showroom.
