This Week on Trading Paints: February 6, 2026

Welcome to This Week on Trading Paints, the pulse on what’s happening in the Trading Paints world while you’re waiting for the 2026 racing season to begin.

🧑‍🎨 Joe R. Wells in the Spotlight

In our latest Artist Spotlight, we chatted with Joe R. Wells of GB22 Designs, who’s been on his grind as an up-and-coming artist, creating opportunities with his painting roots in the iRacing world.

👀 iRacing Season 1 Patch 3 Painting Updates

iRacing’s recently-released patch updated current NASCAR cars (Cup Series, O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, and Truck Series for Chevrolet, Ford, and Toyota) with 2026 art updates.

These are largely decal/on-car-art-specific updates, with the exception of the NASCAR Cup Series Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, which uses a new car model. While most paints are compatible without serious changes, it’s worth taking a look through your paints to make sure everything is still lining up as expected.

If you’re using Paint Builder and want to update a Chevrolet paint to the latest template, go into Project Settings and click Reset Template Layers. This will assign the latest template car parts to your project.

You can download new PSD templates from the Car Templates page if you’re still painting in external software.

Community Manager Patrick selected this fictional Dale Earnhardt Jr. concept late model for Paint of the Week from Skyler Fox. Immaculate, we’d say!
