This Week on Trading Paints: January 23, 2026
News and updates from the world of Trading Paints from the past week.
Welcome to This Week on Trading Paints, the pulse on what’s happening in the Trading Paints world as you think about how to patch up your post-Daytona Safety Rating.
🎨 Daytona 24 Proving Grounds Challenge Wraps Up
The latest Proving Grounds Challenge is in the books! We asked you to share what you’re racing in last weekend’s iRacing Daytona 24, and the community turned out in style, leading to a record-breaking number of Proving Grounds entries. We can only hope your cars raced as fresh and clean as they looked.
We shared a few of our favorite paints over on Instagram and handed out some credits for the Trading Paints Store to some participants, too.

Keep an eye out for another Proving Grounds Challenge soon! 👀
🧑🎨 ICYMI: Davin Cornelius in the Spotlight

In our first Artist Spotlight of 2026, popular sim painter Davin Cornelius (a.k.a. DriveThrough Design) shared his journey from Need for Speed Carbon on PS2 to NASCAR Racing 2003 Season to iRacing to even creating on-track designs.
🏁 Trading Paints Staff in the Daytona 24
A few Trading Paints team members tackled the iRacing Daytona 24 last weekend … with mixed results.

“P6 this past weekend in the iRacing Daytona 24. Overall a solid effort from the team with only a couple of incidents. Had a good shot at P5 had I not gotten overeager when trying to push to stay in P4 and made a fatal mistake of navigating GT3 traffic. Looking forward to Bathurst and Sebring!” –Dustin, development

Patrick (Community Manager) didn’t share a performance rundown, but we know the No. 019 Trading Paints Aston Martin logged a DNF. Bummer.
✨ New Verified Official Paints
With the 2026 racing season quickly approaching, some new official paints have landed in the Showroom this week.

🏎️ Staff Picks
Team Trading Paints sees plenty of new paints every week. Here are a few we’re digging currently.

“The first shot here is such a good example of what you can do if you get in and play with the camera a bit in iRacing when getting your shots. It makes the F4 look way sleeker than it actually is.” –Julian, Creative
🔢 From the Number Showroom
We’re really enjoying what you’ve been sharing in the new Number Showroom, part of the new Number Builder update. Here are a few recent numbers that caught our eye.

Keep posting your numbers to the Number Showroom, and we’ll continue to share what we like!
🏆 Paint of the Week
This week’s Paint of the Week, chosen by Community Manager Patrick, is this concept paint from Daniel Selway Jr., imagining a ride for a fictional Trackhouse Racing entry for (presumably) Shane van Gisbergen in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.
