This Week on Trading Paints: June 13, 2025

Welcome to This Week on Trading Paints, the pulse on what’s happening in the Trading Paints world while you’re reliving 2003.

🛞 iRacing Season 3 is here!

NASCAR 2003 Gen 4 cars, Ferrari 296 Challenge, new track updates — it’s a fun time on iRacing! We’ve recapped updates on Trading Paints we’ve released to coincide with the new build.

🎨 Gen 4 painting notes

The popular new Gen 4 2003 Monte Carlo and Ford Taurus that launched on iRacing this week have some special painting considerations — namely, separate templates for the stock car and superspeedway stock car.

🎨 Hunt the Front Pick of the Month

Our friends at Hunt the Front have selected this Dirt Late Model from Joseph Pratt as June’s HTF Pick of the Month — a dirt car paint from the Trading Paints Showroom selected by the HTF team.

👀 ICYMI: Jon Palmieri in the spotlight

Jon Palmieri spent four years at NASCAR before moving to TRICON Garage earlier this year, where he currently serves as Manager of Design and Print. Jon is the focus of this month’s Artist Spotlight, where he talked about how he got his start, what he’s most proud of, and advice for up-and-coming designers.

🔎 Downloader note: “Searching for cars on track” or “iRacing not running”

We are aware of an issue impacting some new Downloader installations following the release of Downloader 2.1.1 with the new iRacing build.

If you are not seeing paints as of the iRacing June 2025 build and Trading Paints Downloader is showing Searching for cars on track or iRacing not running even when iRacing is running, please try running the latest Downloader beta for a fix until we are able to release a patch.

Alternatively, you can uncheck the advanced option Keep paints synced from website, save changes, and reboot your computer.

This is a generalized version of this scheme. Between 2004 and 2005 the car changed a bit with sponsors, but I didn’t want to get too specific with it. I will update the fender decals and other items when I get around to it.
