This Week on Trading Paints: June 6, 2025

Welcome to This Week on Trading Paints, the pulse on what’s happening in the Trading Paints world while you’re trying to scramble together those last-minute season-ending license points.

👀 New Artist Spotlight

Jon Palmieri spent four years at NASCAR before moving to TRICON Garage earlier this year, where he currently serves as Manager of Design and Print. Jon’s the focus of this month’s Artist Spotlight, where he talked about how he got his start, what he’s most proud of, and advice for up-and-coming designers.

🎁 New iRacing build coming next week

iRacing announced that June 10 is the day that the 2025 Season 3 build is released to members. The iRacing crew talked about the build in the latest iRacing Downshift Podcast episode, and more details are included in Greg Hill’s development blog released last month.

NASCAR’s 2003-era Gen 4 stock cars highlight the new build from a painting perspective. The cars will feature totally separate bodies for superspeedways — and that’s going to mean double the painting. iRacing typically releases painting templates around the time of the new build.

We’ll be sure to summarize everything that’s changed once the dust settles after Tuesday.

🧑‍💻 Help us test new Downloader features

We’ve mentioned this one for the past few weeks, but our Beta program for Trading Paints Downloader is back. The Beta is an opportunity to try out some new features before they’re released to the public. If you want to help us test new stuff (like faster downloads!) and track down bugs, take a look at the Downloader Beta.

Ducati “Panigale 296” GT3 Tricolore by Jordan G. - Trading Paints
This is a fictional livery concept created by me. The idea was to celebrate the the latest generation of Ducati motorbikes. I took inspiration from the Panigale V4S Tricolore that was unveiled in 2024 and applied it to the Ferarri 296 GT3. Hope you enjoy this livery and if you end up racing it, thank you! I would love to see screen shots of your racing it. Hit up me here or via instagram @lzr_livery

🏆 Paint of the Week

Community Manager Patrick has selected Issam Er-Rabhi’s lovely Senna tribute paint for the McLaren 720s GT3 EVO as this week’s Paint of the Week.
