This Week on Trading Paints: October 2, 2026
News and updates from the world of Trading Paints from the past week while you prepare a costume for your race car.
Welcome to This Week on Trading Paints, the pulse on what’s happening in the colorful world of Trading Paints and the iRacing painting community.
🧑🎨 New: Fisher Giannotti in the Spotlight
Fisher Giannotti is this the focus of this month’s Artist Spotlight. The Georgia native shared his journey from designing paint scheme concepts on his phone in 2020 to creating some of the most eye-catching graphics for Bill McAnally Racing — including a Kyle Busch tribute paint scheme that will hit the track in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series later this month.
🎨 Product Update: Paint Builder
We released a small update to Paint Builder this week.
New
- Added sorting by Name and Date in the Insert Logo panel. Logos that are newly added (90 days) will appear with a “New” label.

Improved
- Instead of a blank screen, a clear “no results” message now appears in the Insert Logo and Add Graphics menus when you search or filter and there are no matching results.
Fixed
- Fixed an issue where shared users with read-only access could see the context menu of the Layers list.

💿 New Downloader Beta Available
We’ve released a new version of Trading Paints Downloader Beta for testing new features.
Here’s what’s new in Version B12, released today, October 2, 2026:
- Added support for when UTF-8 is enabled for iRacing telemetry
- Downloader will not check for updates if not connected to the internet
If you’ve enabled UTF-8 character support in iRacing and Trading Paints Downloader has stopped working, you’ll want to give this Downloader Beta a try.
