NASCAR “What-If”: Michael Waltrip to JGR in 2006 by Lane Sanders - Trading Paints
First in hopefully a line of several fictitious schemes based on NASCAR silly season rumors. This one involves a rumor that circulated throughout 2005 that stated Michael Waltrip (and NAPA?) would fill the gap left at Joe Gibbs Racing and their #11 Chevrolet, though they went with Denny Hamlin in the end. NASCAR “What-If”: Greg Biffle to Dale Earnhardt Inc. in 2004 by Lane Sanders - Trading Paints
Another what-if scheme from NASCAR Silly Season: what if Greg Biffle went to DEI for 2004. Rumor was that Biffle was not in good standing with Roush and was seeking other options. Dale Earnhardt Inc. was apparently a leading candidate for Biffle, as the #1 car had no confirmed driver. The team was looking for sponsors, including Kraft, FedEx, and Pizza Hut (The latter of which I went with).
