Car painting updates for iRacing 2025 Season 2 build
iRacing has released some new content and tweaked some cars. Here’s what you need to know for painting in 2025 Season 2.

The launch of iRacing’s 2025 Season 2 build is upon us, featuring new cars, updates to GTP and LMP2 cars, Portland International Raceway, a new Legends Ford '34 Coupe, and plenty more changes.
With that, here’s a summary of what’s changed for painters heading into the new season.
✨ New Cars
- ARCA Chevrolet SS
- ARCA Ford Mustang
- ARCA Toyota Camry
We’ve added support for iRacing’s three newest stock cars in the ARCA Menards Series!
You can upload paints for these vehicles in My Paints and Showroom, and paint them in Paint Builder (or download the old-school PSD templates).
✍️ Renamed
- ARCA Menards Chevrolet Impala is now [Legacy] ARCA Menards Chevrolet Impala.
- Gen 4 Cup is now [Legacy] Gen 4 Cup.
These changes are in name only — but if you’re searching for the old-school ARCA or Gen 4 car, you’ll need to look lower in the list with the [Legacy] tag now appended.
🎨 Changed
- Late Model Stock
- NASCAR Cup Series Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
- NASCAR Cup Series Next Gen Ford Mustang
- NASCAR Cup Series Next Gen Toyota Camry
- NASCAR Truck Chevrolet Silverado
- NASCAR Truck Ford F150
- NASCAR Truck Toyota Tundra TRD Pro
- NASCAR XFINITY Chevrolet Camaro
- NASCAR XFINITY Ford Mustang
- NASCAR XFINITY Toyota Supra
All of these cars have had 2025 graphics updates for series logos, OEM branding, and contingency decals from iRacing. We consider these “non-breaking” changes, so all existing custom paints will remain in place.
🤖 AI-Enabled
- Dallara iR-01
This car can now be used in AI-ready Collections for opponent rosters!
😴 Retired
- Legends Ford 34 Coupe - Rookie
This car can no longer be painted or raced as iRacing has retired the vehicle. Existing paints will remain in the Showroom for the sake of painters’ portfolios. So long, old friend.
Additionally, we’ve fixed a lingering issue with the Paint Builder eye-dropper tool that several users reported; that fix has gone live today, too. Thanks for your patience.
Happy painting!
