Car painting updates for iRacing 2026 Season 3 build
iRacing has released some new content and tweaked some cars. Here’s what you need to know for painting in 2026 Season 3.
The launch of iRacing’s 2026 Season 3 build is here, featuring new cars (BMW M2! Euro NASCAR! Formula Vee!), tracks, upgrades, and plenty more.
Here’s a quick summary of what’s changed for painters heading into the new season.
✨ New Cars
We’ve added support for iRacing’s four newest vehicles!
- BMW M2 Racing (G87)
- EURO NASCAR RC01
- Formula Vee - Cutlass
- Formula Vee - Conqueror
You can upload paints for these vehicles in My Paints and Showroom, and paint them in Paint Builder (or download the old-school PSD templates).
✍️ Renamed
- BMW M Hybrid V8 is now BMW M Hybrid V8 Evo
- BMW M2 CS Racing is now BMW M2 CS Racing (F87) - 2020
- Formula Vee is now Formula Vee - Classic
These changes are in name only, with the exception of the BMW M Hybrid V8 Evo, which has an updated nose. More on that in a bit.
🎨 Changed
A few painting templates have changed for this season’s build.
🟢 Non-breaking changes
- ARCA Chevrolet SS
- ARCA Ford Mustang
- ARCA Toyota Camry
The ARCA Menards Series stock cars had minor updates to their door contingency decals.
🟡 Changes may be needed
- BMW M Hybrid V8 Evo
- Porsche 911 Cup (992.2)
The Evo version of the BMW GTP has a revised nose compared to the older version it replaces. Check your paints to determine if updates are required. We won’t be removing existing custom paints for this vehicle.
Changes to the BMW M Hybrid V8 Evo template.
The Porsche 911 Cup (992.2) adds the famous “X tape” to the headlights. The latest template includes a layer to paint the color of the headlight tape if you wish; otherwise, it might show up as whatever’s underneath that area on your template currently.
🤖 Now compatible with AI-Ready Collections
These vehicles can now be used in AI-ready Collections for opponent rosters!
- Dirt Street Stock
- Dirt Legends Ford 34 Coupe
- Pontiac Solstice
- Pontiac Solstice - Rookie
- Radical SR8
Happy painting, and best of luck in Season 3!
