🏁 New Proving Grounds Challenge: Trading Paints × Hunt the Front World 100

Paint by Julian M.

We’ve partnered with our friends at Hunt the Front to give a Trading Paints painter a shot at their big break.

Design a Dirt Late Model paint from now until June 27th and post it to the Showroom with #ProvingGrounds somewhere in the description. Hunt the Front will select their favorite and hire them to work with the team, designing the actual car’s World 100 wrap, racing at Eldora Speedway this September.

🎨 A small Paint Builder update

We released another minor update to Paint Builder this week. Here’s what changed.

Improved

  • For Finish (spec map) options on layer groups, there’s now an Inherit option. When Inherit is selected, the Finish value set on the group will not override the values of the individual layers within the group.
  • Updated the appearance of the transformer handles, including changing their size when a layer is particularly small or large, or when zoomed in.
  • Added a Wait cursor that appears when an intensive option is processing.

Fixed

  • Fixed an issue where, if a layer group consisted of multiple Line/Curved Line shapes, the transformer would appear in the wrong place if selecting one of the Line shapes within the group.
  • Fixed occasional off-canvas placement when using Clone or Mirror Clone on a layer group.

🏎️ More fake Paint Builder sponsors are here

We’ve added 20 more fictional sponsors to Paint Builder, joining our collection of hundreds.

Select logos to put on your cars from not-very-real brands, like Tin Roof BBQ Sauce, Pyro Spark Plugs, Onyx Performance Coatings, and lots more.
