Welcome to This Week on Trading Paints, the pulse on what’s happening in the Trading Paints world.

🏁 The Trading Paints × Hunt the Front World 100 Proving Grounds Challenge ends Saturday

Paint by Julian M.

We’ve partnered with our friends at Hunt the Front to give a Trading Paints painter a shot at their big break.

Design a Dirt Late Model paint by Saturday, June 27 and post it to the Showroom with #ProvingGrounds somewhere in the description. Hunt the Front will select their favorite and hire them to work with the team, designing the actual car’s World 100 wrap, racing at Eldora Speedway this September.

🧑‍🎨 ICYMI: Jordan Tiegs in the Spotlight

The subject of this month’s Artist Spotlight is Jordan Tiegs, a virtual-to-reality designer who now boasts over 100 designs that have made it to the track in NASCAR — including Garrett Smithley’s memorable Microsoft Clippy car.

We’ll have a new spotlight next week for July.

✨ New Verified Official Paints

A couple of new official paints joined the Showroom this week thanks to our friends at Ghost Rider Squad and Joe Gibbs Racing via Brantley Roden.

These are just a few paints we’re digging this week.

#19 SkyFox Designs 1987 Monte Carlo by Skyler Fox4 - Trading Paints
A design made of my design branding, but what if I had branding in the 80’s? I used 80’s style design cues to come up with how I think my logo might have looked in the 80’s. The design is based on Sam Bass’ unused concept scheme for Dale Earnhardt’s 1988 GM Goodwrench Monte Carlo.

🏆 Paint of the Week

We know Brantley Roden is one of the best when it comes to replica re-creations — typically modern-day work, including official paints on behalf of Joe Gibbs Racing — but this time he took a trip back in time to paint a classic Phil Parsons car on iRacing’s 1987 NASCAR Buick LeSabre. It’s this week’s Paint of the Week, chosen by our Community Manager, Patrick.
