Welcome to This Week on Trading Paints, the pulse on what’s happening in the Trading Paints world.

🧑‍🎨 Jordan Tiegs in the Spotlight

The subject of this month’s Artist Spotlight is Jordan Tiegs, a virtual-to-reality designer who now boasts over 100 designs that have made it to the track in NASCAR — including Garrett Smithley’s memorable Microsoft Clippy car.

🎨 Paint Builder Update

We released a small update to Paint Builder on Monday to make some minor improvements.

Improved

  • When using Mirror Clone, Paint Builder will now attempt to position the cloned copy the layer closer to the corresponding location on the opposite side of the template.

Fixed

  • Fixed an issue where Mirror Clone on grouped layers did not behave similarly to using Mirror Clone with ungrouped layers.
  • Fixed an issue where SVG images containing outlines, like those exported from Number Builder, would not apply the Finish (spec map) values to the outlines.

🏆 Paint of the Week

This week’s Paint of the Week, decided by Community Manager Patrick, is this BS Bean Racing Porsche from Ben Switzer. It’s quite a popular paint, too, reaching the top 15 of the Trending page in April when it was uploaded.
