Trading Paints Update Notes: June 2, 2020

Steve Luvender • June 2, 2020

We have released a new batch of web updates to Trading Paints to coincide with the 2020 Season 3 iRacing build.

  • Throughout Trading Paints, the label “No Number” has been replaced by “Sim-Stamped Number” to clarify the iRacing sim will stamp numbers on such cars.

  • Added new iRacing vehicles: NASCAR Chevrolet Monte Carlo - 1987, NASCAR Ford Thunderbird - 1987, NASCAR Gander Outdoors Ford F150, BMW M4 GT4, USF 2000, and Indy Pro 2000 PM-18.

  • Added a “#” indicator to the vehicle list if a Custom Number paint is assigned for that vehicle.

  • Added supporting text on how Sim-Stamped Number and Custom Number paints behave.

  • Added supporting text on how to create a Spec Map file to the Upload Spec Map screen.

  • Adjusted supporting text of decal layer upload screen to clarify 32-bit TGAs are required.

  • When uploading a helmet or suit, removed car number options.

  • Improved clarification between Sim-Stamped Number and Custom Number options when uploading a paint.

  • Fixed an inconsistency in the number of users/likes on a paint between on a Showroom page and a paint’s individual detail page.

  • Fixed a bug where paints set to Approval on “grouped” vehicles such as Dirt Sprint Cars did not have a “Request to Race” button.

  • Added a note that the Downloader is required in order to view paints after racing with a paint.

  • Added a Custom Number designation to the “Race This Paint” button for Custom Number paints.

  • Fixed a bug where dragging to upload a TGA file on the Showroom upload screen was not working.

  • Added “[Legacy]” label to NASCAR Nationwide Chevrolet Impala - 2012.

  • Added close buttons to the notifications, messages and user profile menus on mobile-sized screens.

  • Added spacing to links in the footer so they’re still usable on mobile-sized screens.

  • Added misc. visual improvements and illustrations throughout

We hope you enjoy these new updates. Happy painting!
