Recap: 2024 Season 4 by the numbers

Recap: 2024 Season 4 by the numbers

Another iRacing season is in the books — a 14-week schedule this time around. As always, we’ve enjoyed seeing creative passion in the community thrive with cars and painters both new and old.

We’ve crunched some numbers over the past season, because who doesn’t love some stats? (Thanks for the love on last season’s wrap-up!)

In total, 838,683 new custom paints were assigned during Season 14 alone. We can always count on the painting community to make every single field look stunning!

Top Color Codes Used in Season 4

We’ve pored over every one of the 3.5 trillion pixels’ worth of paints uploaded in Season 4 (well, the computer did—we mortal humans have no time for that) and identified the three most popular color codes used.

A cool green color, #00CC22 was the most commonly-occurring hue this season, while last season’s neon-yellow runner-up #CCFF00 placed second again, ahead of #E70000, a rich shade of red. Traffic-light enjoyers, rejoice.

Most-Raced Showroom Paints in Season 4

Ugo Degani’s BILSTEIN Black Falcon 2024 BMW M4 G82 GT4 replica took top honors as most-raced Showroom paint in the season, followed closely by Colby Uhl’s take on the same car, driven in the Nürburgring 24 Hours by Jimmy Broadbent, Misha Charoudin, Manuel Metzger and Steve Alvarez Brown (SuperGT). The cars carry a bold blue-and-yellow color scheme with Bilstein sponsorship. That’s a shock. (Sorry, had to.)

We do love a good sim racing/real-world racing crossover.

Skyler Fox’s Toyota Celica Mini Stock ranked third, and the top Oval Racing paint in the Showroom throughout the season.

AO Racing’s Rexy champion livery, digitized by Patryk Adamczyk, was a close runner-up in fourth place, ahead of Alex Whitt’s Buc-ee’s Mini Stock.

Most Favorited Showroom Paints in Season 4

The sportscar community showed a lot of love in Season 4, sweeping the top three spots in the most-favorited list for the second season in a row.

The IMSA GTD PRO champion and ever-popular AO Racing’s Rexy livery, digitized by Patryk Adamczyk, earned the most favorites in Season 4 — shiny gold race-winner teeth and all. (Now, if somebody wants to tell me where I can find the Hot Wheels Race Day version...)

Paul Mansell’s West McLaren took second place, bringing a familiar look from the open-wheel world, while Stephen Phillips created a replica of the Garage 59 McLaren was third.

In total, 202,261 favorites were handed out in the Showroom in Season 4. Don’t forget to smash that Favorite button when you see a paint you like, and show the painter some love!

A trio of Showroom veterans were the most-raced uploaders in Season 4. John Rubino backed up his Season 3 success, ahead of oval-racing replica painter extraordinaire Brantley Roden and the ever-creative Don Craig.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, new cars were the most popular vehicles on Trading Paints again in Season 4. The McLaren 720s GT3 EVO had 35,323 paints assigned, just ahead of the Mini Stock, painted 30,500 times. The good ol’ NASCAR Cup Series Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 was third.

Thanks for painting with us in Season 4! It’s been a delight to see every single paint that makes the iRacing circuit a more colorful and vibrant place.
